An evening breathwork session: two people lying on mats in a softly lit studio

From a session participant

It felt like I had been carrying a heavy 30 to 40 kg backpack on my shoulders for a very long time, and had finally put it down.

Where I trained

Trained with Evolution of Breath.

Vishal trained with Evolution of Breath (opens in new tab), the world’s most immersive breathwork facilitator training: four weeks, over three hundred hours, in person with Mike O’Meara. Most of what he understands about holding a session for someone else, he learned there, on the floor, in his own body first.

What actually happens in a breathwork session?

You lie down and you are guided through all ninety minutes of it. Nothing is left to you to work out.

  1. 15 min

    Arrive.

We talk. Where you are, what you came in with, what you have been going around this week.

  2. 45–60 min

    Breathe.

Continuous breathing through the mouth, no pause between the inhale and the exhale. I set the rhythm and stay with you the whole way. Music throughout.

  3. 15–20 min

    Return.

The breathing slows and stops. You lie there. Then we talk about what surfaced, and what to do with it during the week.

What it can feel like.

Your body is doing active work, and it will feel like it. Hands tingling or tightening. Heat, cold, shaking, tears. Long stretches where nothing much happens. Deep quiet. It is different for every person and different each time. Whatever arrives, you are not meeting it alone.

The person behind the practice

About the facilitator.

I am Vishal. I facilitate breathwork one to one, in person and online.

I spent a lot of time in my 20s on personal development and inner work. Vipassana, therapy, reading, inner child work, parts work and IFS, self-help books, journalling. I understood myself extremely well, yet something was always missing. I felt stuck. Breathwork is what moved the needle for me, on top of the foundation I had built.

My personal transformation nudged me to go through the world’s most immersive breathwork facilitator training, four weeks and over 300 hours in person with Mike O’Meara. He is the founder and guardian of Evolution of Breath (opens in new tab), a global movement rooted in the ancient remembrance that the breath is our original shaman, guide, and healer.

Reflections

From the people who have done this work.

“My shoulders felt light. There was an undeniable lightness in both my body and my mind.”

  1. Before

I went into the session with no expectations, because I honestly had no idea what to expect. Vishal made it feel safe by explaining every step beforehand and guiding us throughout.

  2. During

During the session I felt intense sensations in my body. I felt very cold, and my hands and fingers became stiff and curled up. Whenever I needed support, Vishal calmly helped me with posture corrections so I could stay comfortable and continue.

  3. After

The biggest shift came afterwards. It felt like I had been carrying a heavy 30 to 40 kg backpack on my shoulders for a very long time, and had finally put it down.

“To my surprise, I stayed for the entire session, and I’m so glad I did.”

  1. Before

I’ve been an active practitioner of meditation and yoga. Breathwork, though, was something I’d heard about but never really believed was for me. I had convinced myself it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Still, I decided to take a leap of faith when I saw Vishal’s session. I went in thinking that if I didn’t like it, I’d simply leave halfway through.

  2. During

To my surprise, I stayed for the entire session, and I’m so glad I did. It was the longest I’ve ever spent consciously focusing on my breath, literally 1.5 hours. The vibrations I experienced felt surreal. At some point, it felt like I had transcended into a completely different state of awareness.

  3. After

The experience was deeply transformative in ways I’m still processing, and it left me genuinely curious to explore breathwork further.

Questions

Common questions about breathwork sessions.

Some health conditions mean this style of breathwork isn’t suitable. After you book, a confidential health intake form arrives by email. I read every one personally before the session, and if it turns out breathwork isn’t right for you at the moment, your payment is refunded in full.

How often do group sessions run in Jaipur?

There is no fixed calendar. Dates are confirmed when a venue and enough people line up. The next confirmed date is always on this page.

Where in Jaipur do sessions happen?

The venue can change between sessions. Each session’s page has the address, how to get there, and parking.

I have never done breathwork. Can I start here?

Yes. Group sessions are guided from start to finish. If you would rather begin with the attention on you, start with a private session.

What does a session cost?

Pricing is on each session’s page. Private session pricing is on the private sessions page.

Is breathwork safe for everyone?

No. Some conditions mean this work is not appropriate, including pregnancy, epilepsy, cardiovascular conditions, a history of psychosis, and some others. Every booking includes a health intake form, and if anything on it means the work is not safe for you, I will say so and refund you in full.
